Scott Mroz focuses his practice in the areas of complex environmental and toxic tort litigation. In his 30+ years of experience, Scott has represented a wide variety of clients, including a major Northern California Utility, international oil and energy companies, industrial and agricultural chemical manufacturers, developers, and general contractors and subcontractors. Scott advocates for his clients in ongoing environmental compliance and regulatory matters before the California Environmental Protection Agency, the Department of Toxic Substances Control, State Water Resources Control Board, and various regional water quality control boards, including the North Coast, San Francisco Bay, Lahontan, Los Angeles and Central Valley Regions.
Scott’s litigation experience includes primarily matters involving environmental statutory claims involving soil and groundwater contamination under CERCLA, RCRA, the Clean Water Act, Porter-Cologne Water Quality Control Act and the Carpenter-Presley-Tanner Hazardous Substances Account Act (HSAA), as well as common law nuisance and trespass actions, and landfill nuisance and trespass cases. He has successfully tried product liability, property damage and personal injury actions in California.
