Nicolas H. Pak

Nicolas Pak is a senior associate in the Irvine office, where he focuses his practice on general liability and transportation matters. His litigation experience includes representing clients ranging from small businesses to multinational corporations in employment, wage-and-hour, breach of contract, and other commercial disputes.

Throughout his career, Nicolas has been involved in all stages of litigation, from initial case assessment and pleadings through discovery, motion practice, mediation, settlement, and trial preparation. Nicolas’s trial experience includes contributing to strategy and preparation as second-chair counsel and achieving a complete defense verdict. Beyond the courtroom, Nicolas has counseled businesses on employment issues, drafted and negotiated commercial agreements, and handled real estate matters involving commercial leases and transactions. This breadth of work allows him to consider not only the legal issues at hand, but also the broader business considerations facing his clients.

Nicolas’s background in science and economics impacts his approach as an attorney. Like the law, those disciplines are grounded in established theories and rules which must be creatively applied to the evolving ways in which people live and work. This perspective allows him to pivot and problem-solve when circumstances do not unfold as expected, adjusting key strategies as new challenges and information emerge. Before law school, Nicolas worked in a biochemistry laboratory in England and as a teacher and tutor, experiences that strengthened his ability to distill complex information, adapt his communication style to different audiences, and make unfamiliar concepts more accessible.

Outside the office, Nicolas enjoys traveling and spending time with family, friends, and his Shiba Inu, Rose. An avid reader, he particularly enjoys classic literature and science fiction and maintains a personal library that he exchanges with family and friends.
