Kristian Graycochea is an associate who focuses his practice on insurance bad faith matters. Drawn early to writing and theatre, Kristian finds law to be a natural intersection of critical thinking, persuasive writing, and communication. His background in improv and mock trial strengthened his ability to think quickly under pressure, adapt to unexpected developments, and understand the human motivations which shape disputes. He draws on those skills to examine facts closely, develop persuasive arguments, and communicate effectively throughout litigation.
Prior to law school, Kristian worked in the nonprofit sector as a community organizer and grant writer. During law school, he gained experience in auto insurance defense and immigration law, and later represented defendants in workers’ compensation matters. These roles exposed him to different clients, communities, and legal issues.
Kristian remains active in the legal community through the Filipino Lawyers of Orange County. Outside the office, he enjoys reading and spending time with family. He speaks Tagalog with his family and also has conversational proficiency in French and Ilocano.
