Walsworth Partner Nicholas Cipiti and Senior Associate Jennifer Morin will be holding a webinar on “Multi-State Construction Defect Law Review” on September 13, 2017. They will provide a comparative overview of the construction defect laws of several key states throughout the country, including the common and statutory laws of California, Florida, Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, Texas, Washington and Oregon. This one hour seminar will touch on these states’ legislative reaction to the explosion of construction defect litigation that followed these states’ housing booms. It will also cover important legal issues to know about each jurisdiction, including pre-litigation procedures, definitions of construction defects, special statutes of limitation, and the impact on traditional protections from the economic loss doctrine.
