Walsworth Obtains Judgment in Product Liability Case

Update – May 2017 – Judgment was recently entered in favor of Walsworth’s manufacturer client following two rounds of successful dispositive motions. Earlier this year, Walsworth won summary adjudication on behalf of its manufacturer client in a product liability case where the plaintiff sued for personal injuries allegedly sustained as a result of exposure to a medical device. While Walsworth’s motion for summary judgment was pending, plaintiff was granted leave to amend her complaint to add new claims. Walsworth filed a demurrer to those new claims, which was ultimately sustained by the Court without leave to amend.
