Walsworth and Berkley Life Sciences are hosting a live webinar titled, “Sales Reps in the Operating Room: A Plaintiff and Defense Perspective” on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. PST/ 2:00 p.m. EST.
Walsworth partner Lisa Rice and Hodes Milman & Liebeck partner Kevin Liebeck will discuss the potential liability of a medical device company and/or its sales representatives arising from a sales representative’s presence or conduct in a surgical procedure with the company’s device. Specifically, this course will identify theories of liability, common and effective defenses, strategies for investigating claims, pros and cons of early resolution and what to expect at trial in these cases. The course will address these issues from the perspective of both the plaintiff and defense. The course will also provide insurance professionals, corporate representatives and in-house counsel with insight as to the types of conduct that can lead to such claims, best practices in defending claims, and tips for limiting exposure and avoiding such claims.
