Partner Jean Daly Admitted to American College of Coverage Counsel

Walsworth is proud to announce that Partner Jean Daly has become a Fellow of the American College of Coverage Counsel (ACCC), the preeminent association of lawyers who represent the interests of insurers and policyholders in disputes arising out of insurance policies.

Jean Daly is a powerhouse trial attorney, having tried over 150 jury trials and 50 non-jury trials. She inherited her passion for the courtroom from her father, a legendary trial lawyer. Jean began her career by directly contributing to a defense victory alongside him in a landmark civil case, defending sheriffs in a Section 1983 lawsuit. This early win fueled her drive, and she has since aggressively represented a wide array of clients, including businesses, insurance carriers, public agencies, and government entities, in high-stakes insurance bad faith, cyber law/privacy, and professional liability litigation.

“I’m honored to receive this recognition from such a forward-thinking organization and look forward to collaborating with other Fellows to advance the practice of insurance law,” said Daly.

“The ACCC is delighted to welcome Jean Daly as the latest member to become actively involved in its work,” said Debra Varner, president of ACCC.

Established in 2012, the ACCC is an invitation-only organization of Fellows who have devoted most of their practice to insurance disputes for 15 years or more. The ACCC’s Fellows include many of the most prominent members of the insurance law bars of the United States and Canada, as well as Honorary Fellows from academia and the judiciary.

The ACCC focuses on educating all sectors involved in the field of insurance law – including the judiciary, legal and insurance professionals, law students and businesses – on cutting edge, emerging, and critical issues such as developing trends in insurance law and bad faith, trial practice and alternative dispute resolution, policy formation and claims handling.

The ACCC’s mission is to advance the creative, ethical and efficient resolution of insurance coverage and extracontractual disputes; to enhance the civility and quality of the practice of insurance law; to provide peer-reviewed scholarship; and to improve the relationships among the members of our profession.
