Chelsea Cortes‘s practice primarily focuses on general liability, asbestos litigation, and toxic tort matters. She is a skilled litigator, and her practice involves all pretrial case workup from initial strategy, through pleading and discovery motions, depositions, dispositive motions, and the preparation of a matter for trial, including trial documents.
Chelsea brings considerable experience to her role at Walsworth as she previously served as a claims and general litigation law clerk for a large Southern California public utilities company. There, she met with clients and attorneys, analyzing, and making recommendations about unique legal scenarios involving public utilities. As a law student, she was a legal clerk and intern for a special education law firm where she researched special education law and analyzed legal trends in the field. While in law school, Chelsea was also part of the Youth Justice Education Clinic where she advocated for underprivileged youth and their education rights.
