Walsworth Expands Trucking & Transportation Liability Team with Litigators Fishkin and Lezon

Walsworth is pleased to announce the expansion of its General Liability & Casualty practice with the arrivals of Jeffrey A. Fishkin and Todd G. Lezon, two accomplished litigators who have represented multiple Fortune 500 companies in the trucking and transportation sector in accident-related litigation.

“Jeff and Todd are excellent trial attorneys who bring deep experience defending trucking companies, freight brokers and commercial drivers in litigation involving catastrophic injury and wrongful death matters,” said Dee Cohen Katz, managing partner of Walsworth.

Kendra Bray, chair of Walsworth’s General Liability & Casualty practice, added: “With their combined 30+ years of experience in state and federal court, Jeff and Todd will strengthen the litigation capabilities we offer clients in trucking and transportation, a sector which is one of the most dynamic and high-risk areas of liability law.”

Fishkin has defended trucking and motor carrier companies in multi-party injury cases and wrongful death claims, often securing dismissals and favorable settlements. He also has extensive experience representing vehicle manufacturers in products liability matters arising from motor vehicle accidents. Fishkin regularly monitors key issues in the industry, including whether brokers are immune from liability for trucking accidents under the FAA Authorization Act of 1994, which several freight brokers have asked the U.S. Supreme Court to review.

Lezon has represented commercial drivers, motor carriers and freight forwarding brokers in catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases, including accidents involving cross-border freight operations between the United States and Mexico. During trial, Lezon often utilizes accident reconstruction and biomechanical experts to challenge the injuries claimed by plaintiffs. Lezon also has vast experience representing property owners and professional management companies in habitability cases. Both Fishkin and Lezon are based in Walsworth’s Los Angeles office.
