Walsworth is excited to announce that San Francisco partner, Laurie Sherwood, has been appointed as a co-chair of the National Association of Minority and Women Owned Law Firms’ (NAMWOLF) Labor & Employment Practice Area Committee (PAC). NAMWOLF is a national non-profit trade association founded in 2001 to promote diversity in the legal profession by fostering successful relationships among preeminent minority and women owned law firms and private/public entities. Laurie has been actively involved in NAMWOLF and the PAC since the firm’s membership was approved in 2016, and a Labor & Employment PAC’s Events Subcommittee co-chair for the last two years.
Laurie will collaborate with fellow co-chairs, Brian Lerner, Kim Vaughan Lerner LLP, Fort Lauderdale, and Dana Hill, Hill Hill Carter, Montgomery, AL, to further the PAC’s goals. This includes bringing together minority and women-owned law firms and major employers to assist them with their labor and employment needs, hosting timely training and educational opportunities and presenting on-site continuing education to corporations who need to keep up with the latest employment developments.
Laurie recently celebrated her 25th anniversary with Walsworth, and the firm is so proud of all of her achievements.
